This is the saga of my cat family. All except Killer are feral.
Some will eat from my hand but none will allow me to touch them.
That's just as well as I am extremely allergic to them and must wash
immediately after touching anything they touch.
Some of the photos were taken through my storm door window.
Mamma adopted me in the spring of 1999 when she had two kittens in the carport.
Her two kittens were SisterCat (left) and PuddyTat (center).
Then other neighbors found a good thing. Killer (left) lived next door - he was fixed.
He was put to sleep when his owner found he had a large tumor. We miss him.
Furry (back) also learned where to get a reliable meal.
With all those women, TanCat started hanging around.
TanCat playing the waiting game - PuddyTat knows what he wants.
She had five nearly identical kittens on Palm Sunday 2000.
Same gang at four weeks. These kittens were given to two homes.
Later Mamma, SisterCat and Furry had their own kittens. This was SisterCat's.
There were several orange kittens so I have no idea which this was.
Not all children who eat here are feline...
Mamma and PuddyTat were trapped and spayed. All the dozen or so additional kittens
gradually disappeared and were probably killed by other critters. Furry and SisterCat,
both of whom were pregnant again, went to the Humane Society (an extremely difficult decision)
as I couldn't afford to spay them. One very skittish kitten remained and is still with me. I'm fairly
sure it is a female. This is my current family.
This is as close as Timid will usually come without the ground beef to bribe her.
Mamma will jump on my windowsills and look for me if she wants to be fed. This day she was snoozing.
These are my friends but, actually, I am a DOG person...
