"Family Life Center"
Connected to sanctuary portion of church (far right) with a corridor which has a large room behind it. Note the lower grade entrance with porch roof at far left of photo. Front entrance, also at grade, has a drive-through portico and leads directly to the all-purpose room.

Photo at right taken 4/99 shows ceiling with lights of the all-purpose room. The lower walls have been carpeted in blue since this picture was taken (see photo below).

At left is part of the floor near the front entrance of the regulation basketball court, also serving as a fellowship hall. The double doors lead to the hallway connecting the addition with the older church building.

On July 12, 1998, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the end of the morning worship service. This marked the beginning of the construction phase of the building addition, which is serving as a new Family Life Center.

The addition includes a full multi-purpose recreational room, a commercial size kitchen, large restrooms, a lower-level educational area with new classrooms, conference room, and kitchenette. Both of our buildings are fully accessible by all persons through handicapped-accessible throughways, entrances, restrooms, and a fully equipped elevator. The upper and lower levels each have grade entrances, made possible with the slope of the land.

This building addition has been planned for many years, but it was God's own timetable which has brought it to fruition. We have been in need of more classrooms for a long time, and it is wonderful to have a place for dinners, receptions, youth activities, etc. right here at our own church. If you've ever attended one of our Mother-Daughter banquets, you know what we are talking about.

Song playing: "To God Be The Glory" (written on the cornerstone of the church). Midi arrangement by Donald Humphrey.
